My name is Leilani Shimoda and I’m a fashion designer and product developer living in Los Angeles

WHAT’S SOMETHING THAT’S IMPORTANT TO YOU?

As a designer, I love creating garments that make people feel confident and good about themselves in… I especially loved this project because there weren’t any attractive bathing suit offerings for breast asymmetry or lack thereof… My mission is to help anyone with breast insecurities to get outside in their resortwear, get in the water, feel confident, and have a great time.

WHAT GIVES YOU CONFIDENCE?

I’m definitely more confident when I feel good about what I’m wearing, and nice cleavage is always a plus.  If I’m nervous I’ll take a Superman stance and do a breathing exercise called “Breath of Fire,” panting like a dog with my tongue out, privately of course!

WHICH SOLEIL ROSE SWIMSUIT IS YOUR FAVORITE AND WHY?

I love the Maya One-Piece; it’s flattering, timeless, and feels good on.  The fabric is so soft and the cut is feminine and sexy, with a slight high-leg, cut-out back and cups that are supportive in all the right ways.  It was the first design Talia and I worked on, inspired by lingerie!
